The main contract has been awarded to the joint venture of Sacyr and MedGulf, at a value of about QR 474 million. This package will serve 119 land plots. The project includes infrastructure development around 9726 residential plots, 1600 commercial plots, 4 schools, 3 reserved government plots,21 mosques, 13 parks and 226 open space / green areas. The proposed project will result in the construction of a single, dual carriageway and expressway road network within proposed corridors of 64m, 50m, 40m, 24m, 20m, 16m, 12m and 5-8m width in accordance with the MoTC standards.
Scope of Works:       
Road Network with fully paved carriageways, including signalized junctions (traffic Signals) and Roundabouts at grade; with provision for pedestrians and cyclist
On street parking layout and configuration
Kerblines and footways adjacent to roads
Road signs ( including signage gantries), lighting and road markings as required
Complete Surface water and Groundwater drainage system to function during and after the construction period
Section of Al Wakra Tunnel for Surface water and Groundwater
Advance direction signs and street signs.
Pump Station complete with infrastructure including header tank, mechanical and electrical equipment, control and instrumentation, treatment facilities, ancillary buildings, access roads, surface water twin rising mains, groundwater rising main, valve chambers, drainage, etc.
Groundwater discharge and monitoring boreholes
Complete Foul Sewer Network, including House Connection up to Stage 1 only
Soft and hard landscaping
Treated Sewage Effluent (TSE), complete with SCADA provision and irrigation main lines
Complete Potable Water Network including protection and diversion of existing mains;
Full Electrical Network Designs, including Road Lighting – Local Roads, Electricity Networks – MV & LV, Distribution Substations – 11/0.415kV, Distribution Substations – 11/0.415kV
Mobilisation, Site offices, Site plant, fencing, walls and other accommodation works.
