OctoberLocal Medgulf Construction Company has been awarded the main construction contract on this project. The contract is worth $24 million. The development is expected to be completed in Q1, 2022. Front end engineering design will be done in-house by QP and the main contract is scheduled to be completed by Medgulf in October 2021. The project’s scope includes:
Construction of the main building
Construction of the substation building, chiller’s yard and pump room
External works and utility services
The facility will cover an area of 10,416 square metres, according to existing plans. The building will be used by new oil and gas ventures in the QP Support Field Area (QPSFA), which is about seven kilometres south of Dukhan city in the western municipality of Al-Shahaniya.
